let's see below.
Sex--It IS Necessary!
If you are sold on the idea that abstinence is good for you, then you might want to think twice about it after reading this piece.
It may be that our society has given the green-light to refraining from sexual activity before engaging in a competitive sport, or before undergoing some business challenge, social engagement or other stressful activities where you might require your full compliment of energy, so to speak.
This is an urban myth however and has no basis in fact.
New research has shown that your body benefits in no discernible way from such abstinence (provided of course you are practising 'safe sex' at all times.)
In fact, quite the opposite is true!
.
Benefits Abound
For those who are celebate for religious reasons, then these findings will probably not have much effect on how you change your lifestyle. But for everyone else, you might be far better off engaging in hot and heavy passion of a physical kind, whether you are man or woman, just for the positive physiological effects it bestows upon your bodily person, not to speak of the mental boons it can provide as well.
After following one-thousand men over the course of ten years, the University of Queens in Belfast published findings which are highly favourable to the interpretation of sex as indeed one of the healthiest activities one can partake of to improve and maintain general health.
Some of the research findings, first published in 1997 in the British Medical Journal, stated that the higher the occurrence of orgasm had a positive correlation with those men who enjoyed a death rate half that of those who did not experience the high frequency of orgasm.
In general, sex has been found to have some of the following health-related side-effects, all of them positive:
Sex Smells
Some people claim that sex has a definite smell, others don't seem to notice it, but either way, the post-sex period has an effect on the chemical balance of the brain, specifically increasing the prolactin hormones which are causally related to the developement of stem cell neurons which control the olfactory senses.
In other words, sex makes you 'smell better', so to speak.
Heart Health
Stronger Heart: In a 2001 follow-up to the Queens University study already referred to, researchers looked more closely at cardiovascular health.
What did they find?
The men who had sex at least three times per week, were the men who reduced their danger of heart attack (or stroke) by half.
Loose Flab With a "Passion"
At the very minimum, sex is certainly a way of working-out the body. The equivalent of fifteen-minutes running on a treadmill, sex can burn up to and beyond, 200 calories during a particularly 'heated' session with a partner.
Pulse? It can rise to 150 b.p.m. and that is up from the normal rate of 60-70 b.p.m.
Like to eat Big Macs? No problem. Indulge in vigorous sex at least three times per week and the Mac will melt away and for men the testosterone levels will rise, (no surprise) during hot passionate activity, and this in turn will lead to healthier bones and muscles...not a bad side-effect for so much fun!
Lessen Depression for Women
In 2002 a Gullup study found that women can benefit from having sex where the male's semen is allowed to come in contact with the vagina...hence no condom for this effect to have value. (Married or stable partners only, therefore should consider this advantage.)
Prostaglandin, which is a a hormone found exclusively in semen, may be taken-in (when it is deposited) by the female's genital tract, which in turn may modulate the hormones of the woman. This, at present is only a theory which is provided to explain the fact that indeed women who come in contact with sperm do in fact suffer less depression than those who do not.
Pains Perish
There is known to be an enormous increase, up to five-times as much, of the oxytocin levels for women, just prior to the onset of orgasm. In turn, this releases endorphins, which lessen the pain of everything from headache to severe migraine. In addition the production of estrogen levels are magnified and this has been known to reduce the effects of PMS in many women.
Virus Protection
Pennsylvania's Willkes U. found that for those having sex at least twice per week, there were thirty-percent increases in immunoglobulin A, which has a powerful beneficial effect on the immune system.
Flu and cold virus thus are less likely to invade and thrive in a body where the a strong immune system rules.
More Control
Sex is also great for doing what the Kegel exercises do for those who familiar with aerobic work-outs.
These exercises strengthen the pelvic-floor muscles and that is something everyone should be concerned about strengthening, particularly as we get older. The pelvic-floor controls urine expulsion so it is obviously important for that reason, but also has uses in increasing pleasure during sex itself.
Tougher Teeth
Zinc and calcium are found in semen and these are, coincidentally very good minerals to have come in contact with the teeth, just as important as those found in the average toothpaste, and certainly known to have good effects on the strengthening of the teeth and preventing tooth decay.
So enough said--draw your own conclusions as to techniques to attain the seminal fluids for your dental-benefits.
Prostrate Flushing
To put it simply: the more male ejaculation occurs the lesser the evidence of prostrate cancer. Why?
One theory put forth by some urologists, is that when semen is produced by the male body, it uses such chemicals as zinc (mentioned above) potassium and citric acid, which are then concentrated up to six-hundred times in strength.
When this happens, it may also use up 'carcinogens' in the blood, which it likewise would 'concentrate' and eventually 'expel' in the ejaculate.
This surely would be a great thing--to have any cancer-causing agents found in the blood regularly expelled (by either masturbation or sexual intercourse) can only be seen as a very beneficial side-effect to sexual activity.
In younger men it is suggested that 'flushing' the prostrate in this way, by ejaculation around five-times per week, is thought to be highly healthy for the state of the prostrate gland and in the ridding of any cancer-causing elements which otherwise would just sit there, developing into potentially dangerous and even lethal cancerous growths.
Sex Overdose?
Finally, is it possible to over-do sex?
There are actually two answers--one for women and one for men.
According to Dr. C.Bailey of the University of Bristol, sex for women has no bad side-effects, and in fact has plenty of good ones, such as the firming of the stomach (abs) and thighs and the all-important butt. This point of view is echoed by Dr. Dr. George Winch Jr.gynecologist in Elko, Nevada, who believes prolonged abstinence can have definite negative outcome for women :
"In postmenopausal women, these include vaginal atrophy. Dr. Winch has a middle-aged patient of whom he says: "She hasn't had intercourse in three years. Just isn't interested. The opening of her vagina is narrowing from disuse. It's a condition that can lead to dysparenia, or pain associated with intercourse."
As for men, the use of modern sex-enhancement drugs like Viagra, can make multiple orgasm without a 'cooling-off' period, an unnatural state of affairs, where the penis is not allowed to rest and restore blood and oxygen levels to a healthy level.
Just something to keep in mind, and possibly the subject of further research for those interested.
In general, however, reasonable sexual activity, performed as nature intended, in all it's heavy passion and physical exertion, is, for healthy adults, the way to go for a healthier and longer life.

How to Take Care of Your Lips
From poets to B-town's romantic brigade... every one has written, talked, waxed eloquent about the most beautiful part of a women - her lips. How to keep your smacker in top condition.
Lips are seriously high mantenance!! And you thought that you could get away with flashy clothes and just nude lipstick or gloss. Hah! A lot of people are clueless as to how to take care of their lips. What;s the point having flawless skin or shining hair if your lips are chapped or cracked?. Looking after lips is not a difficult task. Here's what you can do to make sure you have a soft, supple pucker all the time.....
Moisture Matters
Lips don't have any oil glands and no outer proective layer. No wonder lips end up chapped when it's cold, windy or dry. More than the whether, it's pollution that's the real culprit. Licking your lips to moistureise them only makes matters worse by speeding up the natural evaporation process. To keep lips smooth, hydrated and kissable, first gently remove any flakes of dry skin with a soft, wet toothbrush and seal in moisture with a lip balm.
Protect your pucker
Lips don't have any pigments that protect our skin from UV rays. So they are particularly vulnerable to sun damage and skin cancer. This makes it crucial to protect them in the summer months. Make sure you pck a lip balm, which has an SPF- that's the sun protection factor- of at lest 15.
Plump It Up
The pout got a new status after Angelina Jolie's mouth hit the marquee! Believe it or not, plump lips are what's in, not just for women but for men too. Whaaaat!!? According to recent research by the University of Lousiville, men's lip size is the key to sexual attraction with good sized smackers seen as most attractive by women, but hey, no implants (those end up making you look like miss pout-like-a trout, MegRyan). Just choose from some of the several lip plumpers available in the market. As for the lip colour, is all about softer hues. Use a nude, creamy pencil. Put the lip stick on first, not the pencil. It stays on longer and gives a more natural look. Go on, make your smacker smarter.. There's much emphasis on 'decorating' your lips. Just like for the teeth, lip accessories such as stick-on crystals, zircons and stay-on glitter are now available in the market. However, you must ensure that the glue used is safe and sterile.
Take care of chapped Lips...now!!
No one wants to end up with the chapped lips. Lip cracks can be very painful and unsightly too, when they start to bleed! There are several reasons for chapped lips. Exposure to a lot of wind, sun, dry air and even kissing in cold whether can lead to chapped lips. Lips also chap because of dermatitis ( a form of skin ailment), some allergies or side effects of medication. If you have chapped lips here's what you can do to heal them quickly...
Eat a multi-vitamin suppliment, which is rich in calcium, magnesium and flaxseed oil, daily as chapped lips indicate nutritional deficiencies.
Use lip balms which cocoa butter and beeswax. Avoid flavoured lip balms, which often lead to more frequent lip licking, thus increasing the degree of chapping!!!!
HOT TIP
Examine lip balm ingredients very carefully as some components of 'medicated' lip balm can actually acts as irritants. Drink more than the recommended 8 glasses of water a day, preferably warm. Slipping hot liquids slowly dilates the circulatery system and increases moisture supply to tissues. Avoid caffeine and alcohol, which are major dehydrators. When choosing lip care products, go in for those that are moisturising in nature, Avoid making contact with the sun or dry wind for too long.
working tips for a healthy diet
getting sexy and healthy
Healthy eating is not about strict nutrition philosophies, staying unrealistically thin, or depriving yourself of the foods you love. Rather, it’s about feeling great, having more energy, and keeping yourself as healthy as possible – all which can be achieved by learning some nutrition basics and incorporating them in a way that works for you.
Choose the types of foods that improve your health and avoid the types of foods that raise your risk for such illnesses as heart disease, cancer, and diabetes. Expand your range of healthy choices to include a variety of delicious foods. Learn to use guidelines and tips for creating and maintaining a satisfying, healthy diet.
Healthy Eating: Strategies for a healthy diet
Here are some tips for how to choose foods that improve your health and avoid foods that raise your risk for illnesses while creating a diet plan that works for you.
Eat enough calories but not too many. Maintain a balance between your calorie intake and calorie expenditure—that is, don't eat more food than your body uses. The average recommended daily allowance is 2,000 calories, but this depends on your age, sex, height, weight, and physical activity.
Eat a wide variety of foods. Healthy eating is an opportunity to expand your range of choices by trying foods—especially vegetables, whole grains, or fruits—that you don't normally eat.
Keep portions moderate, especially high-calorie foods. In recent years serving sizes have ballooned, particularly in restaurants. Choose a starter instead of an entrĂ©e, split a dish with a friend, and don’t order supersized anything.
Eat plenty of fruits, vegetables, grains, and legumes—foods high in complex carbohydrates, fiber, vitamins, and minerals, low in fat, and free of cholesterol. Try to get fresh, local produce
Limit sugary foods, salt, and refined-grain products. Sugar is added to a vast array of foods. In a year, just one daily 12-ounce can of soda (160 calories) can increase your weight by 16 pounds. See suggestions below for limiting salt and substituting whole grains for refined grains.
Don’t be the food police. You can enjoy your favorite sweets and fried foods in moderation, as long as they are an occasional part of your overall healthy diet. Food is a great source of pleasure, and pleasure is good for the heart – even if those French fries aren’t!
Get moving. A healthy diet improves your energy and feelings of well-being while reducing your risk of many diseases. Adding regular physical activity and exercise will make any healthy eating plan work even better.
One step at a time. Establishing new food habits is much easier if you focus on and take action on one food group or food fact at a time
Eating smart: A keystep towards healthy eating
Healthy eating begins with learning how to “eat smart”. It's not just what you eat, but how you eat. Paying attention to what you eat and choosing foods that are both nourishing and enjoyable helps support an overall healthy diet.
- Take time to chew your food: Chew your food slowly, savoring every bite. We tend to rush though our meals, forgetting to actually taste the flavors and feel the textures of what is in our mouths. Reconnect with the joy of eating.
- Avoid stress while eating: When we are stressed, our digestion can be compromised, causing problems like colitis and heartburn. Avoid eating while working, driving, arguing, or watching TV (especially disturbing programs or the news). Try taking some deep breaths prior to beginning your meal, or light candles and play soothing music to create a relaxing atmosphere.
- Listen to your body: Ask yourself if you are really hungry, and stop eating when you feel full. It actually takes a few minutes for your brain to tell your body that it has had enough food, so eat slowly. Eating just enough to satisfy your hunger will help you remain alert, relaxed and feeling your best, rather than stuffing yourself into a “food coma”!
- Eat early, eat often: Starting your day with a healthy breakfast can jumpstart your metabolism, and eating the majority of your daily caloric allotment early in the day gives your body time to work those calories off. Also, eating small, healthy meals throughout the day, rather than the standard three large meals, can help keep your metabolism going and ward off snack attacks.
Support your health and the environment by eating locally-grown food
Locally-grown food is fresher than what you'll find in the supermarket, which means that is tastier and more nutritious. And since the food travels a shorter distance to get to you, it is better for the environment and helps us reduce our dependence on foreign oil. Buying local food also supports your local economy. Healthy eating: The basics on carbs, protein and fat
Despite what certain fad diets would have you believe, we all need a balance of carbohydrates, protein, fat, fiber and vitamins to sustain a healthy body. But what are good carb, protein, and fat choices for developing your own healthy eating plan?
Carbohydrates
Carbohydrates – food composed of some combination of starches, sugar and fiber - provide the body with fuel it needs for physical activity by breaking down into glucose, a type of sugar our cells use as a universal energy source.
- Bad carbs are foods that have been “stripped” or processed in order to make cooking fast and easy, like white flour, refined sugar, and white rice. They digest so quickly that they cause dramatic elevations in blood sugar, which can lead to weight gain.
- Good carbs can’t be digested as easily. This keeps your blood sugar and insulin levels from rising and falling too quickly, helping you get full quicker and feel fuller longer. Good sources of carbs include whole grains, beans, fruits, and vegetables, which also offer lots of additional health benefits, including heart disease and cancer prevention.
Fiber
Dietary fiber is found in plant foods (fruit, vegetables and whole grains) and is essential for maintaining a healthy digestive system. Fiber helps support a healthy diet by:
- Helping you feel fuller faster and longer, which can help prevent overeating.
- Keeping blood sugar levels even, by slowing digestion and absorption so that glucose (sugar) enters the bloodstream slowly and steadily.
- Maintaining a healthy colon - the simple organic acids produced when fiber is broken down in the digestive process helps to nourish the lining of the colon.
Hydrotherapy
Hydrotherapy is the use of water to treat a disease or to maintain health. The theory behind it is that water has many properties that give it the ability to heal:
- Water can store and carry heat and energy.
- Water can dissolve other substances, such as minerals and salts.
- Water cannot hurt you, even if you are sensitive to your surroundings.
- Water is found in different forms, such as ice, liquid, or steam. Ice may be used to cool, liquid is used in baths and compresses at varying pressures or temperatures, and steam is used in steam baths or when breathing in.
- Water can help blood flow.
Water also has a soothing, calming, and relaxing effect on people, whether in a bath, shower, spray, or compress.
What is hydrotherapy used for?
People use hydrotherapy to treat many illnesses and conditions, including acne; arthritis; colds; depression; headaches; stomach problems; joint, muscle, and nerve problems; sleep disorders; and stress. People also use it for relaxation and to maintain health.
You can also use hydrotherapy to reduce or relieve sudden or long-lasting pain.
Is hydrotherapy safe?
Hydrotherapy is generally safe if treatment is done properly. Different people may respond differently to the length and intensity of treatment. Some people may have headache, aches and pains, sleep problems, nausea, chilliness, and faintness.
It is important to discuss your physical condition and medical history with your doctor or physical therapist before trying hydrotherapy.
Always tell your doctor if you are using an alternative therapy or if you are thinking about combining an alternative therapy with your conventional medical treatment. It may not be safe to forgot your conventional medical treatment and rely only on an alternative therapy.
Reduce Cancer Risk-Tips
Still, when I heard that being at a healthy weight is a great way to lower your cancer risk, I thought, "Nothin' to sneeze at there!" Perhaps it's more than just the vanity of fitting into smaller jeans or feeling more attractive that I am driven by. But losing weight can truly make you healthier, even if I did it for other reasons (to get faster and fitter and healthier all around). I wasn't thinking about cancer! I was thinking: Ever since college, I've been growing out, not up, and it's time to reverse the process!
According to a study in The Lancet, packing on excess pounds ups your odds of getting the disease. Of course, you've probably noticed, as I certainly have, that fighting fat seems to get more and more difficult with every passing year. Part of it is that, between our jobs and families, we're all a little busier. The other (huge) part of it is biology, plain and simple. "Beginning in our mid-40s, we lose up to a third of a pound of muscle a year and gain it back as fat," says Miriam Nelson, Ph.D., director of Tufts University John Hancock Center for Physical Activity and Nutrition in Boston. And because fat burns fewer calories than muscle, your resting metabolism slows down, so after 40, every brownie, ice cream cone and bag of chips suddenly comes with greater consequences.
The good news -- and you knew there'd be some -- is that this gradual tipping of the scales (and the subsequent upping of your cancer risk) is completely preventable through (drum roll, please) a little exercise. Key word: Little! To reduce your risk of the disease, the American Cancer Society recommends just 30 minutes of physical activity, five days a week. That's walking briskly after dinner in your neighborhood.A high-powered spin around the block every day not only slims and tones your body, it can cut your risk of breast cancer by 30 to 40 percent. Try meeting a pal after work at the gym, rather than at the bar. Or raking the leaves yourself rather than paying the kid next door to do it.
Yes, cancer is scary, but it becomes a lot less so when you understand that there's so much you can do right now to help lower your risk and take charge of your own health destiny. For starters: Slip on your sneakers and put one foot in front of the other. Taking that first big step will make you so proud!
Try this walking workout to help lower your cancer risk.

Lose Weight-Tips
I found this very interesting article on Yahoo!Health and you should find more usefull article like this in there..
I've never been a big fan of counting calories. In fact, in the past year, I have lost about 30 pounds without counting a single dietary digit. Sure, I know recording everything you put in your mouth can help peel off pounds, but I also know that obsessing over calories makes you more likely to eat lowfat, low-fiber foods that wouldn't satiate a starling.
Instead of crunching numbers, I munched on healthy food to become a weight loss success. If a food lover like me can do it, you can, too! Try these tips:
• Pick up produce. Have at least one fruit and veggie at every meal. On busy days when I know my lunch won't have a smidge of green in it, I have two fruits at breakfast; I toss berries or peaches into my nonfat Greek yogurt and sprinkle it with granola. I love asparagus, green pepper, sun-dried tomatoes, sprouts, endive and more. Fruits and veggies are high in fiber, which staves off hunger. Shoot for nine servings daily. It sounds like a lot, but if you don't have to be a rabbit to reach that goal. Eat a salad at lunch or dinner, and you're there.
• Snack smart. Add protein (such as a stick of lowfat string cheese or Parmesan) to your between-meal bites. Research suggests protein may enhance the effect of leptin, a hormone that reins in appetite. I love hummus and dip veggies into it instead of pita bread or crackers. Protein is also filling and can help curb cravings for chips, cookies and the like.
• Sip more water. Dieters who swapped sugary drinks for water lose weight, but those who gulped the most H20 peeled off the most pounds, according to a study at the meeting of Obesity Society in Boston. Don’t love agua? Try the flavored kind but check the label for sugar content (it should be below 8 grams per serving).
• Map out your meals. A little attention to portions can help you eat less and still stay satisfied. Start by using a salad dish (8 inches in diameter) and divide it into quarters to help keep helpings healthy. Half the plate should get veggies, top another quarter with lean protein (3 to 6 ounces of fish, chicken or tofu) and the last quarter with whole grains (1/2 to 1 cup of brown rice, sweet potatoes or whole wheat pasta).
• Eat every meal. When you wait longer than five hours between bites, your body may release extra cortisol, a hormone that can increase appetite. I call it "hangry." I get hungry and angry: My stomach starts to burn and my brain gets annoyed at every little thing. Then I eat whatever is in front of me, usually a cookie or other sweet, empty-calorie treat. I realize I'm putting out the "hangry" fires, but it is better not to get there in the first place!

Makeup Helps Acne!
Tempted to pick at your skin? Wear makeup! I find I’m less likely to go to town on blackheads or a breakout when I take time to hide the suckers in the morning. (Or better yet, when I am lucky enough to have a makeup artist to do it for me!) I know this can come as a surprise: Many women with acne think makeup will make their breakouts worse. But as long as you choose foundations and powders that are noncomedogenic (code for non–pore clogging), you’ll likely be fine. And many fantastic formulas are made with salicylic acid, so you can actually fight acne while you’re hiding it.[Yahoo!Health][SELF.com]
